Planning your wedding can be a lot of work and Gourmet Foods is here to help take away some of the stress of arranging such an important event.

Gourmet Foods has over 25 years’ experience in catering for weddings. Every wedding is unique and with our experience, we can listen to your ideas and guide you to formulate the plans for your special day. We will ensure that timings, menus, staffing and all the other things that will help your day go smoothly have been planned in advance.

At Gourmet Foods we have a comprehensive set of menus for each style of meal, be it a hot or cold buffet, barbeque, sharing table, contemporary cocktail party, bowl food or a formal dinner. A bespoke menu can be tailored to fit your and your guests’ needs and preferences. All of the dishes you choose will be prepared freshly by us in our kitchen in Knowle, Solihull. Our service does not stop there as we can provide everything you need from professional serving staff, crockery and cutlery and linen, whether in white or a colour to match your theme.

We can provide coffee, teas and mints or as a special treat our homemade petit fours from £1.25 per head. We can also supply handmade chocolates with your initials on in a ballotine box of your choice

At Gourmet Foods, we have lots of ideas for the end of the day which depends so much on the time you have eaten the main meal, how many people are arriving as an evening guest and how long you are going to dance the night away for. We can provide traditional finger buffets, hog roasts, barbeques, cheese and biscuits, bacon sandwiches or a selection of curries and hot buffet dishes.

Cakes

One decision is on whether you would like a fruit or sponge cake or a mix of the two or something completely different, the amount of tiers and the decoration style is up to you too. Consider whether a traditional, contemporary or completely unique design fits your theme and personalities.

Flowers

When you have decided on the venue, people and tables you need to provide flowers for, you should consider whether you want to use only seasonal flowers and if they need to match a colour theme. Another consideration is the amount of room you will have on the table, so whether you have a low arrangement or something with height. We have seen some very novel ideas such as using teapots full of wild flowers and even a beach scene this year.

Venue

Would you like to book an event in a Hall, Stately home, A Barn or Museum? We can hire in all the necessary tables and chairs to help you. Are you looking to put a marquee in your garden or field? A good marquee company will help to guide you through this process with advice on power, toilet facilities and equipment.

Photographer

How long to want the photographer to attend and do you want formal or informal pictures or a mixture of the two? Do you want a video of the day? One good idea is to use a disposable camera on each table to capture those special moments.

Wines

Your wine selection can be made by pairing it with what you will be serving for your main course, or considering the time of year and choosing accordingly. You need to make sure that you don’t run out of wine, so don’t forget to calculate how much wine you need per adult guest and our experts will provide guidance on this.

Staffing, China and Cutlery

We may also need to hire kitchen equipment on your behalf if this is not provided on Site. This would be delivered to your venue/marquee the day before and then collected after the event. The cost of this would be dependent on numbers and menu choice but it would be best to budget between £250 and £300.

We can also provide all the table linen for the event and work with several suppliers who can provide different coloured napkins and cloths.

We offer a wedding tasting for all couples who have paid their deposit free of charge; otherwise a charge would apply for this service.

All prices are exclusive of VAT – there may be a small increase in prices if booking a wedding for 2018.
